Why Okwu Should not Be Blamed over Dilapidated Federal Road – Otor Jackson

Posted on July 10, 2021July 10, 2021 By Igede Ambassador 2 Comments on Why Okwu Should not Be Blamed over Dilapidated Federal Road – Otor Jackson

Mr Otor Jackson has come out to shut the mouths of those who he said have misplaced their agitation by constantly criticizing Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu over the dilapidated state of Oturkpo-Oju-Ogoja Federal road.

Recall, the people of Oju/Obi Federal Constituency have been crying a river over the years, begging the lawmaker to use his office to do something about the road. Till date, nothing has been done to the road which is more of a deathtrap as I write.

Mr Otor Jackson while defending Hon. Okwu claimed that, the road has been on budget several times and the aggression of the people shouldn’t be directed at the Federal lawmaker, rather Federal Ministry of Works. The comment which was placed on Akoko Smith’s post tagged “IT’S NOW WORTHY IS THE REP…. NO MORE WORTHY IS THE LAMB” as shared by Rt. Comrade Andyson Iji Egbodo on Facebook reads: “Have you asked how many times this Otukpo – Oju – Ogoja federal road was placed on the budget of the Federal Ministry of Works. In 1988, then Minister of Works lamented the status of Igede minority that couldn’t reprimand the Contractor that went away with the money approved for the construction of Otukpo – Oju – Ogoja. In sympathy, HE Mamman Kantangora approved the rehabilitation of Otukpo – road which has today dilapidated. Hanging this bad road today on Rt Hon Samson Okwu , a legislator is to say the least a misplacement of agitation”

Is this defence genuine? Or Mr Otor Jackson is rather protecting his brown envelope as Odigiri Temble Obo revealed at the comment section of the same post? Share your opinion using the comment section below.

I think he is right , we should rather blame those who divert the money meant for the construction of that road in question.
