The Zone B youths of Oju local government area has come out to debunk the spreading rumours that Ukpa and Ibilla are in fresh crisis which has almost destabilized people’s day to day activities in the land.
In a statement signed by all the group’s three presidents; Ibu Rawlings- Ukpa Clan Youth President, Ode Obarike- Ibilla Clan Youth President and Adole Thomas Ajigo-Oju Clan Youth President, no such crisis erupted as postulated by some groups and being spread by others. The statement reads in full:
“The Zone B Youths of Oju Local Government Area of Benue State hereby debunked the Crisis rumours vending around.
“Though, businessmen and women were seen evacuating their goods and services from the market but could neither point out the fact in nor source of the crisis rumours vending yesterday between Ukpa and Ibilla.
“The youths who responded rapidly to scutle the crisis rumours stayed awake throughout the night to ensure peace in the zone. After careful evaluation, the crisis rumours of yesterday were described as unfounded stories fabricated by the enemies of Zone B.
“Today, the youths moved round the market chanted songs of peace and unity in clearing the air that, there is peace and harmony among Ukpa, Ibilla and Oju clans of Zone B. While doing that, the marketers were encouraged to carry out their normal business activities without fear of attacks.

“The youths agreed with the Chiefs and Stakeholders that, all revenues should be stopped in the market till further notice.
