LG/LCDA ELECTIONS: RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENT
“There shall not be movement in Lagos from 8:00 AM to 3:00PM on Saturday, 24th July, 2021” – Lagos Government.
The announcement which was signed by Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Gbenga Omotosho, says the restrictions is to aid the smooth running of the scheduled election in the state.
Igedeonline.com gathered that the reason behind the restriction is to allow the scheduled Local Government Election in the State take place with disturbances of any kind. The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), plans to conduct a free and fair elections without hitches in all the fifty seven (57) LG Chairmen positions and Local Council Dev. Areas.

Furthermore, the circumscriptions will aid the free mobility of the LASIEC agents and election materials. The sanctity of the election is of utmost concern for the LASIEC, hence this information, as enhanced security will be deployed to monitor the free and fair conduct of the election.
Consequently, he called on all eligible voters to by this notice come out and participate in the elections, which of course requires the cooperation of all Lagos State residents.
