What You Don’t Know about Movie/Video Director, Wise Child

Ahueyi Leonard popularly known by his penname; Wisechild is Nigeria’s certified movie producer, director of Photograph, script writer and great photographer. The creative all-rounder doesn’t only do the aforementioned, he is a songwriter and a graphics designer. An epitome of media knowledge, right? Your answer is same as mine.

Born into the family of Ahueyi in the late 80s, the big name in the world of movie production, was born on 29th September. He attended LGEA Primary School, Itakpa Ito and proceeded to St. Mike Secondary School, Ugbodom in Obi local government area of Benue State.

In quest for knowledge and greener pastures, Wisechild relocated to Lagos State through his big uncle with whom he lived and worked as an assistant chef. His desires to work in the media was ignited as Sound City TV was one of the television house they serve meals specially.

After discovering his outstanding prowess in scriptwriting and passion for movie production, he enrolled in the PEFTI Movie School, where he obtained a Diploma in the Act of Movie Production and Scriptwriting. He started practicing immediately with his distant cousins; Mr Mathew, who works with the WAP TV and Sunday Michael who is a talented editor.

He directed his first music video with his crews then, under the umbrella of UKE JUNIOR PRODUCTION. It was a musical video of the talented gospel singer, Lydia Odee and several other jobs followed. A particular job by the award winning singer, Mr Yukay Befelow brought the name to the limelight.

In 2014, Wisechild under Uke Junior Production directed the LEGACY ALBUM by Befelow Yukay. The tracks are IGEDE BOY, EGO NY’IGEDE PT2, ADIYA NY’IGEDE, LONG LIFE and IGEDE AGBA RELOADED. All the songs were shot in Lagos State. After the job, each of the members of UKE Junior Production went solo and started making exploits individually. After the split, he shot a musical video for Folashade by talented pop start, Tu Cold and so many other jobs.

In 2015, Director Lee started his Official movie production and completed it in 2017. The movie was launched in Agba Guest House Iyana Ipaja Lagos State where he resides. The movie started spreading like wildfire, Months after it’s release. The news of the exploits grew so wide and the popular demands made him premiered it on Wisechild Production Official YouTube account and the movie becomes the most viewed Igede movie of all times.

Leonard Ahueyi is a great lover of entertainment and a diehard fan of Igede artistes. In 2015, he staged a show for all Igede rising Stars, tagged “IGEDE ALLSTARS” at Agba Guest House in Lagos. The show turned out great but lack of sponsors stopped the continuation. He still plans to continue, as he recently talked about it in a Facebook post. He has managed several talents including Mr Yukay. He shot and directed the latest music visuals to Gbemilo by the aforementioned artiste.

Director Lee recently completed a program at Entrepreneurship Development Institute by Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and he was certified for the completion of the program. The program as well certifies him as one of Nigeria’s movie producer and music director. The versatile media man recently ventured into a Real Estate business with a registered company Femnico Nigeria Limited.

Director Lee has a movie project that he’s currently working on and may start an audition before the year runs out. For the time being, he’s a great and a creative photographer and video music producer cum director who is always ready to make people’s works standout through him.
